Jammu (News International New Latest - APP. November 11, 2024) In the illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir of India, the Indian government led by Modi has implemented black laws, Public Safety Act (PSA) and illegal activities against five innocent Kashmiris. Up to Prevention Act (UAPA) cases were filed against those who participated in protests against the exploitation of local water resources by the National Hydroelectric Power Corporation of India.
According to Kashmir Media Service, People's Democratic Party President Mehbooba Mufti in a statement in Srinagar expressed deep concern over the use of these cruel laws and condemned the move as a brutal use of force to suppress peaceful dissent.
He urged the newly elected government to take immediate steps to stop the unjustified use of such laws against the citizens.
In a social media post, Mehbooba Mufti said that during the last five years, cases have been registered against the people of Jammu and Kashmir under black laws like PSA and UAPA on trivial charges. He said that the latest developments are surprising as people have high expectations from the newly elected government. He urged the new government to immediately investigate the matter to prevent the indiscriminate use of black laws against citizens raising legitimate concerns.
