How the value of the Pakistani passport will increase among the nations of the world is a matter of concern, for which the current government has even made big claims that its value will be increased. The steps taken so far have yielded far-reaching results, but much remains to be done.
Sometimes there is talk of making Pakistan a state of Medina, and sometimes its system is compared with the United States, Britain, Turkey, China and other developed countries. All these desires are valuable. At least it promotes hard work, but positive efforts must be made to implement them, which was not paid attention to in the previous government periods.
According to international reports, the Pakistani passport is currently ranked 108th in the world. It has been at 88th for a while, but it is still on the path of increasing decline. If we go for a comparative analysis, then forget the US and UK, etc. and go to the countries from which competition is currently being made, i.e. India and Bangladesh, etc. The index shows that the Indian passport is ranked 83rd and does not require a visa in 60 countries. Bangladesh is ranked 104th and does not require a visa in 104 countries, while the Pakistani passport does not require a visa in 38 countries. If we examine the reasons for this decline, then 90 percent of this disrespect is due to immigrants. The remaining 10 percent can be attributed to the country's corrupt system and government writ. This is not the problem of any one political party, but everyone is the same. Our embassies and consulates are also responsible for this. Some countries, especially European countries like Scandinavia, In the US, Canada, UK, Australia and many other European countries, people seek political asylum by defaming the country in various ways. Many Pakistanis seek political asylum by presenting themselves as “Qadianis”.
Countries that grant political asylum are our enemies who support such people. We have examples of Altaf Hussain and Baloch leaders. There are thousands of people who have filed false FIRs against them in Pakistan on political grounds and have sought political asylum on this basis.
During the Pakistan Freedom of the Press Movement in 1978, I also know some people who sought political asylum in Germany and other countries by claiming that they were unsafe in relation to the FIRs of this journalistic movement. Our embassies and the passport department within the country made it easy for Afghans, Bengalis, Sri Lankans and Burmese to get passports and issued passports and identity cards for huge sums of money.
Afghans disguised themselves as Afghan refugees. Some told stories of atrocities in the tribal areas. Some defamed the army and made allegations that our relatives were disappeared by the agencies. We are also in danger. On this basis, they sought political asylum. Some even changed their religion. Some cried about gang rape and sought political asylum. They got fake marriages. They changed their photos on fake marriage certificates and original Pakistani passports and got fake visas. They went out of Pakistan and were arrested. They were arrested at airports with drugs. Despite being Afghans, they kept Pakistani passports. Pakistan itself has to be infamous for the arrest. The staff of national airlines also disappear in foreign countries on most occasions. They leave the country in the name of education and become permanent residents there. These are the reasons why the Pakistani passport has become suspicious and its value is decreasing day by day. Due to these measures, those who live legally abroad and earn foreign exchange for the country are also being defamed. Since the above crimes are known to the whole world, what kind of incidents we do, many Indians get arrested in Gulf countries and claim to be Pakistanis. Corrupt people sitting in consulates and embassies there also give them passports for some personal gain. If our agencies, embassies and consulates keep an eye on these incidents, no one will be able to go to a foreign country and cause the country to be defamed.
The second important issue is that many media houses in Pakistan are closing down due to financial difficulties, while in Saudi Arabia, especially in Jeddah, amateur journalists rule. They buy mobile phones, learn to take pictures, visit the Jeddah consulate and take pictures with an officer there, sit in the waiting room of the consulate with the flags of Saudi Arabia and Pakistan, take pictures and post them on their Facebook, and on this basis call themselves senior journalists and the consulate includes them in the list of senior journalists and starts inviting them on every occasion. There was a time when there were only experienced journalists here and they were associated with national newspapers and channels. Their aim was and is to publicize the excellent relations between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia by taking advantage of their experience along with their jobs. But when a Friday market is set up in the name of journalists according to the consulate list upon the arrival of the Pakistani ambassador, consul general or the prime minister and a minister, an experienced journalist will consider his existence there useless. This has been brought to the attention of the Minister of Information, senior officials of the Ministry of Information, the Pakistani ambassador, the consul general in Pakistan many times, but Now groups have been formed based on likes and dislikes, and everyone claims that they are not journalists but senior journalists. The press officers in the consulate say that we cannot stop anyone. If we cannot stop anyone, then Allah Almighty has given us intelligence and experience. So draw a line between experienced people and amateurs with mobile phones.
Recently, Pakistan's Ambassador Lieutenant General (retd) Bilal Akbar met with this Friday Bazaar of journalists and expressed his deep disappointment. It is hoped that the Pakistani Ambassador will take a positive decision in this regard in the field in which he has experience. It is known that his transfer is happening ahead of time. At least if he pays attention to this as he leaves, one more good deed will be added to his good deeds. Otherwise, a new story will start with the new ambassador and the incoming one will also be disappointed. Those who say that "there is grouping among journalists" do not tell who is from the national media, what experience they have, they try unsuccessfully to make their lives easier by telling the grouping. The Ministry of Information has no time for government propaganda on the Pakistani media. How will it look at these matters abroad?
