FIA raids fake visa factory in Gujranwala, 2 suspects arrested

Gujranwala (UrduPoint news / Pakistan Point News - NNI. December 28, 2024) The Federal Investigation Agency (FIE) Gujranwala Zone arrested two suspects during an operation at a fake visa factory. The suspects were providing fake visas to citizens with the help of agents in different parts of the country. According to media reports, the FIA ​​Gujranwala Zone conducted a major operation against human traffickers on a tip-off. Two suspects were arrested during a raid in Shadman Colony.


The FIA ​​spokesperson said that the arrested suspects include Ziaur Rehman and Ijaz Ahmed, who were providing fake visas to citizens with the help of agents in different parts of Pakistan. He said that the suspects are involved in making and selling fake passports, visa stickers and other travel documents. The suspects used to defraud gullible citizens through fake documents, while a large number of fake visa stickers were recovered from the suspects.


The spokesperson said that the accused used to provide fake documents by receiving huge sums of money. The accused are part of international networks involved in human trafficking, while 20 Pakistani and 31 foreign passports were also recovered from the accused during the raid. In addition, machines used to produce fake visa stickers were also recovered from the accused. 96 fake visa stickers from Europe, 18 from China, 41 from the UK, 12 from the US, as well as fake visa stickers from Brazil, Indonesia, Turkey, Serbia, Greece, Sweden, Malta, Croatia, Spain, Portugal, and the UAE were also recovered from the accused.

The FIA ​​spokesperson said that 95 fake stamps, bank deposit slips, 13 fake residence cards and immigration stamps, lamination sheets and other travel documents were seized from the accused. Fake Chamber of Commerce cards, student cards, mobile phones, lamination machines, typing machines were also recovered from the accused. The organized network of the arrested accused worked in collaboration with various agents.

According to the FIA ​​spokesperson, the accused were arrested and investigation has been initiated, while raids are being conducted to arrest other accused. Director FIA Gujranwala Zone Abdul Qadir Qamar praised the performance of the raid team and said that a crackdown is underway against elements involved in human trafficking. The Director Gujranwala Zone said that intelligence-based raid teams are cracking down on organized gangs, special raid teams have been formed to arrest human traffickers.

Abdul Qadir Qamar said that all resources are being utilized to arrest the accused, no one is allowed to play with the lives of innocent people, and the accused will be given the rightful punishment in the light of solid evidence.
