PTI founder announces rally in Peshawar on December 13 to pay tribute to martyrs killed during D-Chowk protest

December 06, 2024) Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf founder Chairman Imran Khan has said that if our demands are not met, we will start a civil disobedience movement. The PTI founder threatened civil disobedience if the demands are not met. PTI founder Imran Khan announced a grand rally in Peshawar on December 13 to pay tribute to the martyrs killed during the D-Chowk protest in Islamabad. In a message shared on social media, the PTI founder announced the formation of a five-member negotiation committee that will negotiate with the federal government on two important issues. Imran Khan has formed a five-member negotiation team comprising Omar Ayub Khan, Ali Amin Gandapur, Sahibzada Hamid Raza, Salman Akram Raja and Asad Qaiser to hold talks with the government on the demands of a judicial commission to investigate the violent crackdown on PTI supporters during the May 9, 2023 protests and the crackdown on PTI protesters on November 26.
PTI founder Imran Khan made it clear that if these demands were not met, he would launch a civil disobedience movement from December 14. In his message, the PTI founder claimed that many PTI workers are still missing and demanded the Supreme Court to take action against human rights violations. He said that we approached the Supreme Court, Lahore and Islamabad High Courts over serious human rights violations but no action was taken.
Imran Khan expressed regret that party workers were killed as a result of state terrorism. He further said that dictatorship has been established in the country. Hundreds of our workers are missing. The Supreme Court should now take notice of this and play its constitutional role. He further said that we approached the Supreme Court, Lahore High Court and Islamabad High Court regarding serious violations of human rights, but no action was taken by the courts and the country has reached this point.
