Indian media gets irritated by growing ties between Pakistan and Bangladesh

Wednesday, December 25, 2024

New Delhi (UrduPoint News International/ Pakistan Point News - NNI. December 25, 2024) The Indian media has become blinded by the hatred between Pakistan and Bangladesh. Recently, the meeting between Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Bangladesh Chief Advisor Professor Dr. Muhammad Yunus sent shivers down the spine of the Indian media. Five days ago, a foreign news agency reported that Prime Minister of Pakistan Shehbaz Sharif and Chief Advisor of the People's Republic of Bangladesh Professor Dr. Muhammad Yunus had met in Cairo, Egypt, on the sidelines of the D-8 Summit, in which the Prime Minister highlighted the historical, religious and cultural ties between the two countries. Shehbaz Sharif expressed Pakistan's desire for bilateral cooperation, especially in the areas of trade, people-to-people contacts and cultural exchanges.

However, Indian female journalist Palki Sharma could not digest all this and started spewing venom directly against Pakistan and Bangladesh in her channel's program. Palki Sharma was seen venting her anger in the meeting between the leaders of Pakistan and Bangladesh on the Indian TV channel First Post. She even declared Bangladesh as East Pakistan.

Indian journalist Palki Sharma, while presenting a hateful analysis, said that breakup is very difficult when you have your former friend standing with your enemy. This is what happened to India when pictures of Bangladesh's interim chief Muhammad Yunus hugging Pakistani Prime Minister Shahbaz came to light. On the emerging relations between Pakistan and Bangladesh, the Indian female journalist said that after the meeting in Cairo, it has become clear that Dhaka and Islamabad are going to become friends.

Palki Sharma also criticized both countries for the opening of the maritime bridge and the direct passage of ships from Pakistan to Bangladesh. Indian journalist Palki Sharma vented her anger during the analysis and said that earlier Pakistani shipments were checked at Bangladeshi ports and additional screening of Pakistanis was also done, but both these restrictions were lifted by Chief Advisor Professor Dr. Muhammad Yunus. In response, the Pakistani government relaxed visas for the Bangladeshi people. On the growing relations between Bangladesh and Pakistan, Indian media journalist Palki Sharma said that this is not Bangladesh 2.0 but the return of East Pakistan.
