Islamabad (News International New - 13 December 2024) Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf has approached the court for action against Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and others in the wake of the November 24 protest. Chairman PTI Barrister Gohar filed a criminal complaint in the Islamabad District Court through the mediation of Latif Khosa. According to media reports, the petition also seeks action against Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, Defense Minister Khawaja Asif, Information Minister Attaullah Tarar, IG, SSP, DIG and others.
The complaint filed in the court has also attached a list of 38 injured PTI workers, while a list of 139 missing PTI workers has also been attached. The complaint has requested that non-bailable warrants be issued for the parties and they be summoned and punished according to law.
The prosecution has requested that the criminal complaint be accepted and other parties including the Prime Minister be summoned.
Two ministers and two members of the provincial assembly of PTI Khyber Pakhtunkhwa have also been included as witnesses. It should be noted that a grand operation was launched on the night of November 26 for the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf protesters. The police also detained more than 450 workers of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf. After the operation at D Chowk, Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Ali Amin Gandapur and Bushra Bibi left there and went to Mansehra.
Rangers, ATS commandos and Punjab police were involved in the grand operation in the Blue Area. Around 1,500 Punjab and Islamabad police personnel participated in the grand operation. Later, the administration opened the roads closed due to the PTI protest for traffic. Clothes and shoes left by the protesters were lying around at D-Chowk and several vehicles were also parked abandoned. Containers installed at the Red Zone and other important places were also removed.
In addition, the Attock Bridge connecting Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Punjab was closed and containers were re-installed at Attock Khurd to block the road. A heavy police contingent was deployed at the Rabita Bridge connecting Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Punjab.
