 Wednesday, February 19, 2025 Hyderabad (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 19th February, 2025) The opening ceremony of the 7th International Conference on Energy, Environment and Sustainable Development organized by Mehran University of Engineering and Technology, Jamshoro, was held. Addressing the opening ceremony, Energy Sector Expert Engineer Irfan Ahmed said that an environmentally friendly energy transition is taking place, electricity is being generated from wind and solar energy, there are many wind power generation projects in Sindh and wind power is also cheap. He said that if the equipment is made in Pakistan, the cost of the projects will be reduced because at present most of the equipment is being purchased from abroad. Islamabad (News International / Pakistan New - NNI. 01 December 2024) Overseas Pakistanis Commission Punjab Vice Chairperson Barrister Amjad Malik has said that OPF and OPC will jointly provide redressal opportunities for immigrants, Overseas Cash was a role model initiative of Shahbaz Sharif and we will bring it back in its original spirit. British-based journalists Haroon Shah and Sardar Kamal Khan organized a grand ceremony in honor of Overseas Pakistanis Commission Punjab Vice Chairperson Barrister Amjad Malik and congratulated him on assuming office.


On this occasion, people associated with different faiths were present at the ceremony. The ceremony began with the blessed name of Allah and Senior Vice President Supreme Court Bar Association Habib Qureshi Advocate presented a vote of thanks.


He termed Barrister Amjad Malik’s assumption of office as a good omen. Journalist Haroon Shah, based on his twenty-year relationship, said that Barrister Amjad Malik has the ability to do something and Sardar Kamal Khan supported him.


Former diplomat and Additional Secretary to the Government Sajid Qazi welcomed Amjad Malik to Islamabad. He said that his relationship with Amjad Malik dates back to the days of Government College Lahore and spans thirty-six years. Barrister Amjad Malik has proven his mettle through his advocacy. Former diplomat Waqas Langah, Director NF Tariq Kayani, Barrister Hassan Mann and Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan from Malaysia congratulated the organizers for organizing the event.

Former MD OPF Habib-ur-Rehman Khan said that it was a pleasant experience to work with Amjad Malik, he is a hardworking person. Finally, Barrister Amjad Malik said that OPF and OPC will jointly provide redressal opportunities for immigrants. He said that Overseas Cash was a role model initiative of Shahbaz Sharif and we will bring it back in its original spirit.

The establishment of Overseas Advisory Council and District Overseas Committee and the appointment of a convention of expatriates are among his top priorities. Representation of overseas in the parliament is the need of the hour, the establishment of fast track courts will restore the confidence of investors and they will be able to approach these courts for redress. Abbasi, Rafiq Ghauri, Aftab and Wasif Shah also attended the ceremony. The dignitaries were entertained with a lavish banquet. Barrister Amjad Malik presented a bouquet of flowers to Sajid Qazi and a shield to former MD OPF Habib-ur-Rehman Khan.
