Rawalpindi (UrduPoint News  International- 27th December 2024) DG ISPR Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry has said that the Pakistani armed forces have fought and are fighting a long war against terrorism, various successful intelligence-based operations have been carried out, the armed forces of Pakistan are fighting a difficult war against terrorists, DG ISPR, while holding a press conference in Rawalpindi, said that 59,775 operations have been carried out this year.


925 terrorists, including Khawarij, were killed. Security forces killed 27 Afghan terrorists in their operations. Important security operations are underway across the country. This will continue against anti-national terrorists until the last Khawarij is eliminated. Law enforcement agencies and security forces have achieved significant successes in catching enemy networks and bringing the enemies to justice.


During these operations, 73 high-value targets, i.e., most wanted terrorists, were killed. This is the largest number of terrorists killed in the last five years. More than 169 operations are being carried out by the Pakistani army, intelligence police and other law enforcement agencies to deal with the scourge of terrorism. The Pakistan Army spokesperson said that the highest number of terrorists were killed this year compared to 5 years. The Pakistani army has successfully foiled several terrorist plans. The Pakistani army also recovered a large number of weapons from the terrorists in the operations. Due to the timely actions of the Pakistan army, many terrorist plans were foiled, significant successes were achieved in arresting the enemy's network, and a large number of weapons and ammunition were recovered. DG ISPR Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry further said that the terrorists killed included Fitna-ul-Kharij chief Mian Syed alias Qureshi Ustad, Mohsin Qadir of Mardan, Attaullah alias Mehran, who was involved in the attack on diplomats in Swat, Ali Rehman and Abu Yahya. In addition, the most wanted leaders of Baloch terrorists Sana alias Baro, Bashir alias Pir Jan, Niaz alias Gaman, Zarif Shah Jahan, Hazrat Ali, Lak Jan Jahan were killed, along with this, 27 Afghan terrorists involved in terrorism were killed.

He said that the female suicide bomber Adila son of Khuda Bakhsh, Mahil son of Abdul Hamid, who was arrested from Balochistan, revealed how terrorists are using young boys and girls for armed rebellion by manipulating the minds of innocent people. The security forces achieved another great success this year when two suicide bombers, including Insafullah and Ruhullah from Afghanistan, were arrested. 10 suicide jackets and more than 250 kilograms of weapons and ammunition were recovered from their possession. The DG ISPR also said that Pakistan has made efforts to establish peace in Afghanistan. Despite all efforts of Pakistan, terrorists from Afghan soil are committing terrorism in Pakistan. The fabric of terrorism reaches Afghanistan. No effort will be spared to dismantle the networks of terrorists.
