Court sends PTI founder on judicial remand, PTI founder formally arrested in 7 more cases

Rawalpindi (News International New Latest. December 02, 2024) The Anti-Terrorism Court, accepting the request of the police, has approved the 14-day judicial remand of PTI founder Imran Khan in 7 cases. The court sent the PTI founder on judicial remand. The PTI founder was formally arrested in 7 more cases. Anti-Terrorism Judge Amjad Ali Shah heard the case in Rawalpindi Adiala Jail. The judicial remand of PTI founder Imran Khan has been approved in the cases registered in New Town police station.
The physical remand of the PTI founder has been completed in New Town police station. The court sent the PTI founder to jail on judicial remand after completing the physical remand. Imran Khan was presented before the court after a 6-day physical remand.
The prosecution team did not request further physical remand of the PTI founder. Earlier, PTI founder Imran Khan was arrested in 6 cases on September 28, October 4 and October 5.
The investigation officers of all 6 police stations submitted applications for seven-day physical remand to the court by arresting him. The arrest report was submitted to the court and a request was made for his physical remand. According to Prosecutor Amin Minhas, the physical remand in the New Town police station case has been completed. While his further physical remand will be taken today in other cases. The PTI founder was presented to the court today after the remand in the New Town police station case was completed.
The police had reached Adiala Jail to arrest PTI founder Imran Khan in three other Rawalpindi cases related to the September 28 PTI protest, while the other three cases were also registered under anti-terrorism provisions. All investigation officers were directed to reach Adiala Jail. An application was also filed for judicial remand in Imran Khan’s New Town case. The investigation officer took the position in the application that the investigation in the New Town case had been completed. The founding chairman of PTI will be sent to jail on judicial remand. It was also informed that the temporary New Town police station in the jail will also be closed today and PTI founder Imran Khan will return to the custody of the jail administration today.
