Opening ceremony of the 7th International Conference on Energy, Environment and Sustainable Development held at Mehran University

Islamabad (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 22nd December, 2024) Speaker National Assembly Ayaz Sadiq has invited the government and opposition negotiation committees to meet. According to the details, Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq has invited the members of both committees to meet tomorrow on the issue of negotiations between the government and the opposition. Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq welcomed and expressed gratitude to the Prime Minister for forming a committee for negotiations with the opposition.

He said that the Prime Minister’s initiative to resolve issues through negotiations is welcome, he invited the government and the opposition for negotiations in good faith, the doors of the Speaker’s Office are always open to members, progress can only be made through talks and dialogue, members of both committees have been invited to meet tomorrow, Monday at 11:30 am to advance the negotiation process, I will meet the members of both committees in my chamber at Parliament House.


Meanwhile, Chairman PTI Barrister Gohar has welcomed the formation of the negotiation committee by the government. In a statement in this regard, he said that we welcome the announcement of the committee by the government. This is a welcome development. The negotiations between the government and PTI should be comprehensive and fruitful. There are serious people in both the committees. The negotiations will definitely move forward. We are hopeful that the negotiation process is now starting. Hopefully, a fruitful solution to all the issues will be found in the shortest possible time. It is being reported that Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, on the proposal of the Speaker of the National Assembly, has formed a negotiation committee consisting of members of the government alliance for negotiations with the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf. A statement issued by the Prime Minister’s Office’s media wing said that the committee will include Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, Federal Advisor on Political Affairs Rana Sanaullah Khan, Senator Irfan Siddiqui, Pakistan People’s Party leaders Raja Pervez Ashraf, Naveed Qamar, MQM Pakistan convener Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, Ustadz Pakistan Party President Aleem Khan, and Muslim League-Q leader Chaudhry Salik Hussain.
