According to the details, a 7-member constitutional bench headed by Justice Aminuddin Khan in the Supreme Court heard the case. During the hearing, the DG Law Election Commission told the court that ‘In light of the court decision, the electronic voting system was used in the 2018 by-elections, a report has also been submitted to Parliament, now this matter has to be looked into by Parliament.’
On this, Justice Jamal Mandokhel remarked that ‘Hamid Khan, you should raise this matter in the Senate Parliamentary Committee, instead of looking to the Supreme Court, go to Parliament, the case has been over, then how did the hearing on the miscellaneous petition continue? Today we want to make corrections,’ with these remarks, the constitutional bench disposed of the miscellaneous petition on the ground of ineffectiveness.
