Canberra (News International/ Pakistan News - NNI. 04 December 2024) Todd Greenberg has been appointed as the Chief Executive Officer of Cricket Australia (CA). He will replace current CEO Nick Hockley. Nick Hockley announced in August this year that he would step down from the position at the end of the domestic season in March 2025. Todd Greenberg, 53, said on this occasion that he is grateful to have been given the opportunity to play this very important role in the Australian game and to continue my involvement with the game that I have loved since childhood.
He said that this is a very exciting time for cricket, with fantastic opportunities created by the rapid growth of the game around the world, while some challenges are also being presented to ensure that Australian cricket maintains its position at the very peak of the game.
Todd Greenberg has worked with the National Rugby League, Canterbury and Bankstown Bulldogs, as well as serving as General Manager of Stadium Australia and most recently as CEO of the Australian Cricketers Association. He has been selected for this further important role due to his excellent work in the current administration.
Todd Greenberg said: “I want to ensure that we continue the momentum that Cricket Australia is building to further develop Australian cricket. I look forward to continuing and strengthening these relationships for the betterment of cricket.” After playing first-class cricket for Randwick in the NSW Premier Cricket and subsequently serving as Events and Promotions Manager for Cricket NSW, Todd Greenberg holds degrees in Sports Science from the University of NSW and a Masters from the University of Technology, Sydney.
Cricket Australia chairman Mike Baird said: “Todd Greenberg will bring a wealth of experience to the role from his time leading the National Rugby League and his current position as CEO of the Australian Cricketers’ Association, as well as his time in club and stadium management. He is also a renowned expert in business development and innovation. I would like to thank Nick Hockley who will leave the game in a very strong position at the end of the season with key foundations in place, including our broadcast rights deal, MOU and seven-year content strategy,” Mike Baird added.
