Islamabad (UrduPoint News International/ Pakistan Point News - 1st Jan, 2025 ) : Chinese President Xi Jinping warned in his New Year's address on Tuesday that no one can stop Taiwan's "reunification" with China. His statement is being seen as a warning to Taiwan's independent and separatist leadership.


China considers the island of Taiwan to be a separate part of its own, where there is a democratically elected government.


However, the Taiwanese government rejects Beijing's claims and maintains that only the people of the island can decide their future and that Beijing should respect the choice of the Taiwanese people.
