In its report, KMS cited the UK's DisinfoLab, which had uncovered a vast network of fake media outlets and NGOs run by Indian interests. The lab had exposed hundreds of fake websites in around 65 countries that published misleading content to portray Pakistan in a negative light.

These networks are designed to influence policymakers within the European Union and the United Nations to spread an anti-Pakistan narrative and discredit the just struggle of Kashmiris for self-determination. These investigations show that India is running a massive campaign to label Pakistan as a supporter of terrorism through misinformation.
