Before the world celebrates International Human Rights Day, the inhumane atrocities being committed against the oppressed people of occupied Jammu and Kashmir and Palestine are being highlighted.

Sardar Atiq Ahmed Khan should take firm notice of the massacre of innocent Kashmiris, use of deadly weapons and unjust arrests, and violation of the sanctity of the chador and the wall.

Monday 9 December 2024

Muzaffarabad/Rawalpindi (News International / Pakistan News - NNI. 09 December 2024) President of the All Jammu and Kashmir Muslim Conference and former Prime Minister Sardar Atiq Ahmed Khan said that before celebrating the International Human Rights Day, the world should take firm notice of the inhuman atrocities being committed against the oppressed people of occupied Jammu and Kashmir and Palestine, the massacre of innocent Kashmiris, the use of deadly weapons and unjustified arrests, and the violation of the sanctity of the veil and the wall so that peace can be established in the region.

The world is celebrating Human Rights Day, but the injustice, inhuman atrocities, and barbarity that the people of occupied Jammu and Kashmir have been enduring under the clutches of Indian tyranny for many years is unparalleled in the world. The international community and human rights organizations have remained silent spectators, for whom we are leaving a question mark today. Do they not see the daily inhuman atrocities committed by India in occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the use of deadly weapons, wounded bodies, people who have lost their eyes, deprivation of basic amenities of life, the oppression of 900,000 troops, unmarked graves, and extrajudicial killings?

In view of this entire situation, the world should not remain a spectator and should take notice of the increasing tension in the region and the inhuman atrocities. On the occasion of International Human Rights Day, the President of the Muslim Conference has appealed to the European Union, OIC, the United Nations Human Rights Commission, and the Security Council to play their effective role, knowing the grave situation in occupied Jammu and Kashmir. At present, Hurriyat leaders are enduring the hardships of imprisonment in Indian jails and the health of some of them has also deteriorated. When will the institutions that champion human rights pay attention to this.
