Properties of four more Kashmiris seized in Occupied Jammu and Kashmir

Srinagar ( news international New Latest - APP. 09 November 2024) Indian authorities have confiscated the properties of four Kashmiris in Kupwara district while continuing to deprive Kashmiris of their lands and properties. According to Kashmir Media Service, the seized properties include 9 kanals and 11 marlas of land. The seized land in Handwara area of Kupwara district is said to be worth crores of rupees.
The names of the persons whose properties were seized are Abdul Majeed Mulla, Abdul Rashid Mir, Arshad Ahmed Pare and Sajjad Ahmed Butt. The Modi government has stepped up its nefarious campaign to confiscate Kashmiri properties after ending the special status of Jammu and Kashmir in August 2019. The move is aimed at punishing Kashmiris for challenging Indian occupation, making them aliens in their own homeland and confiscating them. To change the proportion of the population in the occupied territory from non-Kashmiris.
The Indian police arrested five people in Kishtwar district, Muhammad Abdullah Gujjar, Noor Deen, Ghulam Nabi Chopan, Muhammad Jafar Sheikh and Muhammad Ramadan. A case has been registered against the arrested persons under the Black Law Public Safety Act. Meanwhile, the All-Party Hurriyat Conference, in a meeting held in Srinagar, urged Kashmiris to be wary of the Modi government's efforts to advance the Hindutva agenda in Occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
The All-Party Hurriyat Conference warned that no individual or group should cooperate with BJP, RSS or any of their supporters as such cooperation is detrimental to the just struggle of Kashmiris for the right to self-determination. In the meeting, human rights violations including extrajudicial killings, unjustified arrests, continuous siege and search operations, raids on houses and confiscation of property were also strongly condemned.
On the other hand, the spokesperson of All Party Hurriyat Conference, Advocate Abdul Rasheed Minhas issued a statement in Srinagar, while the Azad Jammu and Kashmir branch of Hurriyat Conference paid tribute to Allama Muhammad Iqbal (may God bless him and grant him peace) on his birthday in a prayer meeting in Islamabad. He said that Allama Iqbal fully supported the Kashmiri people in their struggle against the oppressive Dogra regime and also encouraged them through his poetry.
