Lahore (News International Newspaper Latest. IPA. November 28, 2024) Deputy Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami, former parliamentary leader Liaquat Baloch, while talking to journalists in Islamabad and workers in Rawalpindi, has alleged that the PTI sit-in has ended, the government has become weaker and the establishment has become more powerful. The end of the sit-in, the firing, tear gas, and lathi charge by security agencies to disperse the sit-in, as well as the martyrdom of security personnel and political workers are shocking and saddening and show that in this entire process, politics and democracy have become weak and more difficulties have been created for sustainable democracy.
Zubair Safdar, Hamza Siddiqui, Shahid Shamsi, Aamir Baloch were present on this occasion. Liaquat Baloch offered condolences and prayers for the death of Farid Brohi’s wife and a female leader of Jamaat-e-Islami in Islamabad.
The death of a female leader active for the establishment of religion is a big shock for Jamaat-e-Islami. Liaquat Baloch said that if a solution to the political crises is found, political and economic stability will come.
The federal government is busy with foreign visits, visits of foreign personalities to Pakistan and loud announcements of investment, but no serious effort is being made to normalize the internal conditions of the country. Protest is a political democratic constitutional right, but to get the country and the nation out of the whirlpool of crises, the national political leadership will have to hold a national dialogue on national priorities, otherwise politics, democracy, elections will be controlled, engineered and all kinds of control will be transferred to the establishment.
Political workers are the backbone of democracy, the political leadership should avoid using them and the government and security forces to crush the protests.
Liaquat Baloch, while addressing the Ittehad-e-Ummat Conference in Lahore, said that a temporary ceasefire was agreed in Kurram, Sadda District, Parachinar, but the parties are still engaged in target killings and massacres against each other.
The federal and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa governments are not on the same page for the protection of people's lives and property and establishing peace, the loss is being done to the great masses and the unrest in the most sensitive area is becoming dangerous for national security. Jamaat-e-Islami, Milli Yakjehti Council are making efforts for peace and reconciliation in Kurram district, the issues are also sectarian, but the real problem is the unfair and humiliating behavior of the government and security agencies. Creating opportunities for two groups to fight will only worsen the situation. By reviewing all the peace agreements on the basis of the Jirga so far, a trustworthy agreement should be made for the future and complete impartiality should be ensured in the implementation.
