Addressing the opening ceremony, Energy Sector Expert Engineer Irfan Ahmed said that an environmentally friendly energy transition is taking place, electricity is being generated from wind and solar energy, there are many wind power generation projects in Sindh and wind power is also cheap. He said that if the equipment is made in Pakistan, the cost of the projects will be reduced because at present most of the equipment is being purchased from abroad. Islamabad (News International Newspaper Latest. December 04, 2024) In a case registered at Kohsar Police Station in Islamabad, the police have obtained arrest warrants for PTI founder Bushra Bibi's wife and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur. Islamabad Police will form special teams to arrest the accused. Arrest warrants have also been obtained for other PTI leaders Sheikh Waqas Akram, Omar Ayub, Sher Afzal Marwat.


It has been reported that progress has been made in the November 24 protest case at Kohsar Police Station. The names of PTI leaders Alia Hamza, Seemabia Tahir, Shoaib Shaheen, Ali Bukhari are also included in the list. Arrest warrants have been obtained for 96 accused in case number 1,032 by Kohsar Police Station.


It may be recalled that earlier, the Islamabad Anti-Terrorism Court had issued arrest warrants for 96 other accused including PTI founder Imran Khan, Bushra Bibi and Barrister Gohar over the protest in Islamabad’s D-Chowk.


The police had also obtained warrants for PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar, Shoaib Shaheen, Murad Saeed, Omar Ayub, Sher Afzal Marwat, Faisal Javed, Ali Bukhari, and Aamir Mughal. The court had also issued warrants for Zulfi Bukhari, Salman Akram Raja, Rauf Hassan, Ali Zaman, Pir Musawar, Mian Khaliq-ur-Rehman, Sohail Afridi, Shahram Khan Tarakai, Brigadier (retd) Mushtaqullah, and Major (retd) Rashid Tipu.


Earlier, arrest warrants were issued for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur in the GHQ attack case. Judge Amjad Ali Shah of the Rawalpindi Anti-Terrorism Court heard the GHQ attack case. The court also issued arrest warrants for 46 other accused, including Raja Basharat, Zartaj Gul, Bilal Ijaz. The special prosecutor had requested the issuance of arrest warrants in the absence of the accused. The court had issued an arrest warrant for Ali Amin in his absence and ordered him to appear in court.
