Muzaffarabad (News International / Pakistan News - NNI. December 16, 2024) Like all over Pakistan, in Azad Kashmir too, the tenth anniversary of the martyrdom of about 150 flower-like students and teachers of Army Public School Peshawar in the worst act of terrorism in the country's history was celebrated with great devotion, respect and ideological enthusiasm to pay tribute to their eternal sacrifices. In this regard, a grand ceremony was organized at Government Higher Secondary School Soheili Sarkar under the auspices of Khadija Zareen Khan Foundation, which was presided over by the Foundation's Chairperson, the well-known socialite Ms. Khadija Zareen Khan, who played a leading role in serving the people across the country. The special guests were candidate for Assembly Constituency 7 Shaukat Javed Mir and Commissioner Muzaffarabad Principal Ms. Abida Iqbal, Masood-ur-Rehman, and Pakistan Army officer Major Amir. During the ceremony, children from different schools presented a tableau to pay tribute to the martyrs of the Peshawar tragedy, the martyrs of the Pakistani armed forces, and the martyrs of Kashmir. National songs, anthems were presented and wonderful speeches were made and received a warm welcome. Earlier, when the ceremony began with the recitation of the Holy Quran and Naat Rasool Maqbool, the national anthems of Pakistan and Azad Kashmir were played at the same time, in whose respect the participants present in the entire hall stood in respect. While the members of the organizing committee, Owais Arif Awan and Advocate Asim Sarfraz Awan, played an important role in the arrangements and conduct of the grand ceremony of the national martyrs. The ceremony was attended by students, youth, media representatives, and leaders of all schools of thought in large numbers. Addressing the ceremony, the President of the ceremony, Ms. Khadija Zareen Khan, said that the heirs of the martyrs are not organizations but nations. The martyrs of the Pakistani armed forces, the martyrs of the Army Public School, the martyrs of Kashmir sacrificed their today for the tomorrow of the coming generations and made the Pakistani Kashmiri people a leader in world history. A strong, prosperous democratic Pakistan is the guarantee of the freedom of occupied Jammu and Kashmir. Mrs. Khadija Zareen Khan said that our mission is to serve humanity and build the support of the suffering and oppressed classes. The day is not far when occupied Jammu and Kashmir will be liberated from the Indian occupation and will not become a part of Pakistan. Addressing the gathering on the tenth anniversary of the martyrs of the Army Public School Peshawar, Pakistan Peoples Party Azad Kashmir Central Deputy Secretary Information Nominated Assembly Constituency 7 Shaukat Javed Mir said that Pakistan is a strong fortress of the Islamic world and a shelter for the oppressed humanity of the planet. According to the thoughts and philosophy of the founder of Pakistan, Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, the painter of Pakistan, Dr. Allama Muhammad Iqbal, it is time to come out of the clutches of sectarianism, provincial prejudice, linguistic riots, intolerance and become a nation instead of a crowd. Mutual trust in the political-military leadership can make national development possible by repelling the forces hostile to the country. The Pakistani armed forces have sacrificed countless lives in breaking the network of terrorists through Operation Rah Nijat, Operation Zarb-e-Azb, Operation Radd-ul-Fasaad, peace and order Addressing the ceremony, Commissioner Muzaffarabad Division Masood-ur-Rehman, President of Central Bar Association Nasir Masood Mughal, Owais Arif Awan, Advocate Sardar Azam, Advocate Asim Sarfraz Awan, Student Ahmar Shahzad and other speakers paid tribute to the martyrs and paid tribute to the courage of their heirs. At the end of the ceremony, certificates and shields were distributed among the best performers from various walks of life.
