Krishna Das Prabhu was detained after leading large rallies in the southeastern city of Chattogram.
He was arrested in November for allegedly insulting the Bangladeshi flag during a rally, and now faces sedition charges.
Another bail application rejected
The court had rejected an earlier bail application when Prabhu was not legally represented.
Following the latest rejection by the court, Prabhu’s lawyer Apurba Kumar Bhattacharya said he would appeal the decision.

Meanwhile, the public prosecutor said his office believes Prabhu could "misuse his bail" if he is released.
"We argued in court that if he gets bail, it could create chaos as we have seen in the past when this person called thousands of his supporters to protest and incited violence in the court premises," public prosecutor Mufazzal-ul-Haq Bhuyan told the AP news agency.
"Prabhu did not appear in court. Violence broke out after a previous bail hearing. His supporters are accused of killing a government lawyer during a clash.
India-Bangladesh relations sour
Muslim-majority Bangladesh has been gripped by religious tensions since the ouster of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in August 2024 following student-led protests.
Hasina's Hindu nationalist government in New Delhi was a staunch ally of Wajid, and she has been living in India since fleeing Bangladesh.
Possible implications of a Bangladesh-Pakistan rapprochement for India
Hasina's ouster has created a power vacuum that the new interim government is struggling to fill. Hindu groups allege that thousands of attacks against Hindus have taken place since Hasina's government was overthrown.
Bangladesh's interim government, led by Muhammad Yunus, rejected the claims, calling reports of attacks exaggerated.
