Islamabad (News International New - 11/26/2024) The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf convoy reached Zero Point on Tuesday morning after entering Islamabad. According to a foreign broadcaster, on the one hand, the leadership on the container is asking the protesters to move forward and remove the containers installed at Peshawar Mor, while on the other hand, Islamabad Police officials are nowhere to be seen. PTI workers alleged in the conversation that their colleagues have also been injured due to direct shelling and rubber bullets, but they say that they will reach D-Chowk in any case.

Earlier, Islamabad Police has also been seen shelling these protesters at Sector G-11. On the other hand, incidents of mistreatment of journalists have also been reported during the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf protest. A convoy of more than a hundred vehicles, buses and vans of PTI Sindh has also met with workers from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to participate in the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf protest in Islamabad.

PTI Sindh spokesperson Muhammad Ali Baloch said that the PTI Sindh convoy, consisting of more than 100 vehicles including buses, vans, and cars, has reached Islamabad. The PTI convoy left from Karachi and when it reached Shikarpur, an attempt was made to stop the convoy. After breaking the barriers, when the caravan reached Sukkur, the administration dug trenches and completely closed various routes for transport and closed the routes by placing containers on the Sindh-Punjab border. He said that after the administration stopped the caravan at various places under an alternative strategy, the workers finally reached Checkpoint No. 26 in Islamabad through alternative routes in small groups of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Punjab. Meanwhile, Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has strongly condemned the attack on Rangers and police personnel by protesters on the Srinagar Highway. In a statement, Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has directed to immediately identify those involved in the attack on security personnel and bring them to justice. In the statement, the Prime Minister said that attacks on police and Rangers personnel under the guise of so-called peaceful protests are condemnable.

On the other hand, the PTI said in messages on its official social media account that its rally is continuing to move forward and the PTI has also claimed that several of its personnel have been injured in police firing. Bushra Bibi, the wife of Imran Khan, who led the PTI convoy along with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur, says that we will not stop until Imran Khan comes out in public and says so himself. Bushra Bibi, addressing the workers on the Srinagar Highway in Islamabad this morning, said that no matter how much pressure comes, no matter what anyone says, we will not stop until Khan himself comes out and says so. He said that the next course of action will be announced after reaching D-Chowk. Bushra Bibi also asked PTI workers and the administration to remain peaceful. The main convoy of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf has reached near Zero Point in Islamabad. PTI Peshawar President Irfan Saleem, who was part of the convoy, said that there was direct firing on our workers near No. 26 Chungi last night. According to Irfan Saleem, four of our workers lost their lives and around 40 were injured as a result of the firing. Irfan Saleem said that the talk of changing the location of the sit-in is baseless. There is no option other than D-Chowk and we will go to D-Chowk in any case.
