Seoul: South Korea accused North Korea of jamming the GPS signal.

According to foreign media, the South Korean military says that North Korea is continuously attacking the system to jam the Global Positioning System (GPS), which has disrupted the operations of several ships and civilian aircraft.

South Korea's Joint Chiefs of Staff have warned that ships and aircraft operations in the West Coast region should exercise caution amid efforts to jam North Korea's GPS signal.

South Korea's Joint Chiefs of Staff said that North Korea is carrying out GPS jamming attacks in the Haeju and Kaesong areas, causing difficulties for several small ships and civilian aircraft to continue their operations.

South Korean military officials demanded that North Korea immediately stop the GPS jamming attack and said that if it does not do so, North Korea will have to answer for its actions.

South Korean government officials claimed that between May 29 and June 2, approximately 500 ships and hundreds of ships suffered difficulties due to North Korean interference.

Officials said that a complaint was also made to the United Nations Aviation Body, while the International Civil Aviation Authority also instructed North Korea to refrain from this practice.
