The case registered in Taxila has included 13 sections including terrorism, endangering the lives of citizens by protesting violently and committing arson. Text of the FIR

Islamabad (News International New - 25th November, 2024) A case has been registered under the Anti-Terrorism Act against PTI founder Chairman and former Prime Minister Imran Khan, his wife Bushra Bibi, sister Aleema Khan, former President Arif Alvi, Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Ali Amin Gandapur and other PTI leaders. According to media reports, 13 sections including terrorism have been included in the case registered at Taxila Police Station. Former Federal Minister Hammad Azhar, Senator Azam Swati, former Speaker National Assembly Asad Qaiser and Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly Omar Ayub have been named in the FIR.
According to the text of the case, Imran Khan had given the message of the November 24 protest to the people through Aleema Khan. Bushra Bibi had instructed the workers in a video message on November 19 to reach Islamabad and the accused put the lives of the citizens in danger by protesting violently and started arson. The FIR states that the accused raised slogans against state institutions while spreading fear and panic among the people.
Case No. 2594 includes other provisions including interference in the government, violation of Section 144, and the protesters have been accused of damaging government and private property, and blocking highways by gathering. The text of the FIR states that the protesters damaged a government motorcycle and a vehicle, the accused kidnapped a police driver and tortured him before releasing him. The case states that Imran Khan gave the party leaders a plan to attack Islamabad from Adiala Jail.
It should be noted that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf had announced a protest in Islamabad on November 24 for the release of former Prime Minister Imran Khan and approval of other demands, for which the PTI convoy from Peshawar led by Ali Amin Gandapur has entered the boundaries of Punjab to reach D-Chowk. In addition, there are reports of cases being registered against the PTI leadership in several cities including Rawalpindi, Kasur, Gujranwala, Faisalabad, Lahore. In Kasur too, cases have been registered against 300 people, including the PTI leadership, of whom 25 people have been nominated while about 300 have been declared unknown. The cases include terrorism, attempt to murder and other serious charges.
A case has been registered against the police for violence against the police by PTI leadership and workers in the Tatle Aali area of Gujranwala district of Punjab on the complaint of SHO Tatle Aali. The case was registered against 37 named and 100 unknown workers. Imran Khan was named as the accused of the conspiracy in the case. 17 serious sections including the Anti-Terrorism Act were imposed in the case. Similarly, terrorism cases have been registered against the central leadership of PTI, workers and local leaders, members of the national and provincial assemblies and others in many cities including Faisalabad, Jaranwala and Lahore.
