 The founder of PTI nominated Senator Ali Zafar as a member of the Judicial Commission in place of Shibli Faraz. Shibli Faraz resigned due to 32 FIRs and court appearances. He sent his resignation to the Chairman Senate.

Islamabad (News International New - 04 December 2024) Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Senator Shibli Faraz has also resigned from the membership of the Judicial Commission of Pakistan. The founder of PTI nominated Senator Ali Zafar as a member of the Judicial Commission in place of Shibli Faraz. Shibli Faraz resigned due to 32 FIRs and court appearances. He sent his resignation to the Chairman Senate.

It has been reported that arrest warrants were issued for Shibli Faraz and Omar Ayub from Faisalabad due to their participation in the Judicial Commission meeting. The decision on the nomination of the member of the Judicial Commission in the Senate will be taken tomorrow. After the 26th Constitutional Amendment, the opposition included Leader of the Opposition from the National Assembly Omar Ayub and Leader of the Opposition from the Senate Shibli Faraz in the Judicial Commission.

It should be noted that yesterday, the Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly and PTI leader Omar Ayub Khan resigned from the Judicial Commission due to cases and recommended the inclusion of Barrister Gohar in his place. In a letter written to the Speaker of the National Assembly, he had said that it is in the interest of the institution that I nominate someone else in my place who can devote all my attention to this important role.

In his resignation sent to Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, the Leader of the Opposition Omar Ayub had said that I decided to resign from the Judicial Commission due to the First Information Reports (FIRs) registered against me and legal cases. Omar Ayub had also said in his resignation sent to the Speaker of the National Assembly that my resignation should be accepted soon and Barrister Gohar should be nominated as a member of the Judicial Commission in my place and I am sure that he will play an excellent role in the commission due to his excellent abilities.

He further said that this decision was made after much deliberation because I needed to focus on the cases against me. It may be recalled that Omar Ayub from the National Assembly and Shibli Faraz from the Senate were made part of the commission by the PTI for the Judicial Commission and they attended the initial meeting of the commission.
