Heart disease, diabetes and cancer are the causes of premature deaths in Pakistan

The drug metformin, which is the most commonly used drug by type 2 diabetes patients, was not considered completely safe for human health in the past.

A study completed in Denmark in 2022 claimed that the use of this drug increases the risk of birth defects in children of men with diabetes, especially in boys.

But now the results of new medical research conducted in the UK have proven this concept wrong, which was born after a study conducted in Denmark in the same regard.

Medical experts have described this new study as very important. Especially because it did not include data from just one specific or limited area, but the results obtained from data from millions of people in remote regions such as Norway and Taiwan were similar.

Dr. Alan Pacey of the University of Manchester, an expert in male reproductive health, said that the results of this new study refuted the claims of the previous study.
