Lahore (News International Latest News - December 6, 2024) National team opener Ahmed Shehzad criticized the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) selection committee for not including important players in the series against South Africa.
Talking on his YouTube channel, opener Ahmed Shehzad questioned the squad announced against South Africa, why leading spinner Sajid Khan, opener Fakhar Zaman and Shaheen Afridi were included in the home series against England.
Ahmed Shehzad questioned that Sajid Khan, who troubled England and took 19 wickets in the series, was not included in the squad for the South Africa tour by the selectors. He said that the selection committee should have thanked Sajid because you were losing for 3 and a half years, people started laughing at your cricket, when you won, you took the player out like a fly in the milk.
Defending Fakhar Zaman, Ahmed Shehzad said, what fitness are you talking about? Did Noman or other players pass their fitness tests? You are fooling the public by lying.
He said while talking about Shaheen Afridi that what did you achieve by dropping Shaheen? It is okay to look at the workload management but he should have been fed.
