Truck plunges into river in Ethiopia, killing 71 people on their way to attend wedding

Addis Ababa: A truck fell into a river in the African country of Ethiopia, killing 71 people .

  1. According to a foreign news agency, a truck full of people in Ethiopia lost control and plunged into a river, killing 71 people.
  2. According to the report, the accident occurred in Buna district, while the injured are being provided medical assistance at Buna General Hospital. 
  3. According to Ethiopian state TV, the passengers were traveling to attend a wedding, while the dead included 68 men and 3 women. 
  4. It should be noted that many precious human lives are lost in traffic accidents every year in Ethiopia due to poor driving standards and lack of vehicle fitness.
  5. In 2018, 38 people, mostly students, were killed when a bus fell into a ravine in Ethiopia.
