The White House's patriarchal culture based on gender bias will grow further as male appointees are accused of crimes against women. Olivia Troy

Washington (News International New - 09 December 2024) Olivia Troy, the former national security adviser to the Donald Trump administration in the White House, has issued a stern warning to women in the incoming administration. Olivia Troy wrote on the American online platform “Substake” that the gender-biased patriarchal culture of Trump’s White House will further flourish because Elon Musk, JD Vance, Donald Trump Jr., Matt Gaetz, Pat Hegseth and other ‘Bruce brothers’ will be present in positions of authority or influence.
Troy, who was the national security adviser to former Vice President Mike Pence, wrote that it will be a scary environment, but stay true to your values, even if they are uncomfortable or unpopular. You only have to face yourself in the mirror every day. Since leaving the administration, Olivia Troy has become an outspoken critic of Trump and has campaigned for his Democratic rival Kamala Harris in 2024. In her post, Olivia Troy urged women to be mindful of their colleagues and warned that they would face male ideologies and locker room talk in the administration. The latter phrase refers to Donald Trump’s defense of her after he said in the wake of the Access Hollywood tape that his boastful remarks about touching women were exaggerated sarcastic talk. Carolyn Levitt, Trump and Vance’s interim spokeswoman, told the broadcaster that it was long overdue for Olivia Troy to go back to doing what she was doing before she showed her face on liberal TV instead of flushing her reputation down the toilet, because she clearly has no idea what she’s talking about. "President Trump has just appointed the first female chief of staff in history and I look forward to serving as the youngest press secretary," she said. "He has also added several other women to his cabinet and his administration will include thousands of strong and independent women. President Trump empowers women and anyone with a realistic mind can see that." Several members and nominees of the new US administration have been accused of sexual misconduct by women, including Defense Secretary nominee Pat Hegseth, Health and Human Services Secretary nominee Robert F. Kennedy Jr., Department of Government Efficiency head Elon Musk, and Attorney General nominee Matt Gaetz, who later withdrew. All have denied the allegations and no one has been indicted on the charges. A jury found Trump guilty of sexual assault against former fashion magazine columnist E. Jane Carroll.
