General elections are scheduled to be held in Germany on February 23. This time, the performance of Germany’s far-right political party AfD in the elections will be of extraordinary importance for the country’s politics.


In this context, according to the results of a public survey published on Wednesday, January 8, a large number of Germans believe that Elon Musk’s statements will give the AfD’s reputation an electoral advantage. According to the survey results, Musk’s statements are like a confirmation of the FD’s positive politics.

This survey was conducted by the YouGov research institute for the German news agency DPA.


According to the results of the survey, 59 percent of Germans who were asked for their opinion on the matter were convinced that Musk had benefited the AfD's reputation with his statements, while only four percent of voters thought that these statements had damaged the party. Twenty-four percent of residents believed that he had had no impact on the AfD, while 13 percent were undecided.

In contrast, 27 percent of voters said that Musk's statements would have a significant impact on the AfD.

The survey was conducted from January 3 to 6, in which 2,246 Germans aged 18 or older participated. According to the survey organizers, the margin of error in the results was plus or minus 2.07 percentage points.
